Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) CARES Act Award

Congratulations to the towns of Leicester, Millbury, Dudley, Brookfield, North Brookfield, and West Brookfield on being awarded $376,000 through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) CARES Act Grant.

This grant program will help to address the substantial needs in the towns for businesses and residents affected by the current pandemic. The grant, led by the Town of Leicester, will support microenterprise businesses, food assistance, and services for senior citizens in the six communities.
CMRPC partnered with Leicester to write the application, and we would like to thank everyone who helped put the application together on such a tight deadline. CMRPC will further partner with the town to administer the grant and bring much needed relief to these communities. More information on the grant announcement can be found here: https://www.mass.gov/news/baker-polito-administration-announces-20-million-to-support-vital-social-services-small
Thank you to the Baker-Polito Administration and to the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development for their work.
