Electronic Public Notices - Updated Protocol

The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) acknowledges that this agency is the mandated recipient of public notices from our constituent municipalities. Public notices from Planning Boards, Boards of Health, Selectboards, Conservations Commissions, Zoning Boards of Appeal, Special Permit Granting Authorities, and others that are required to be submitted to the Regional Planning Agency may now be submitted to CMRPC electronically to publicnotices@cmrpc.org .  Submittals should be in the form of a pdf file or similar file type. An acknowledgement /read receipt of your submittal will be returned to the sending party.

We think that widespread use of this new protocol, currently used by only a few of our constituent municipalities, will save our communities, not only postage and paper, but also time and money. Comments or concerns about this new protocol may be forwarded to Deputy Director of Regional Planning and Community Planning, Trish Settles, at tsettles@cmrpc.org.

Additionally, Environmental Notification Forms (ENFs) from project developers or engineers required by the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) or other state of federal regulation may also be submitted electronically to publicnotices@cmrpc.org.  Submittals should be in the form of a pdf file or similar file type. Where necessary, because of email file size limitations, a link to a cloud-based or external file may be sent. To avoid any potential viruses embedded in such files, all files will be scanned prior to uploading.
