The temporary provisions were first implemented by Executive Order in March 2020 and subsequently enacted by Section 20 of Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021\, An Act Relative to Amending Certain COVID-19 Measures Adopted During the State of Emergency (“Section 20”) (as amended several times to extend the expiration of the temporary provisions). Specifically\, this action allows public bodies to continue holding meetings remotely without a quorum of the public body physically present at a meeting location\, and to provide “adequate\, alternative” access to remote meetings.
