Regional Services & Municipal Collaboration
CMRPC develops, and at times, implements regional approaches to problems shared by Southern Worcester county municipalities such as
• Coordination and sponsorship of workshops and seminars on topics of interest to local officials such as municipal law, ethics, sexual harassment, planning and zoning issues, and electric utility deregulation;
• Assistance to officials and members of the public in research and technical matters; and provides staff support to the Municipalities Organized for Regional Effectiveness (MORE) a non-profit established to assist our municipalities with a number of tasks including bulk purchasing.
• Provision of data and geographic information and analysis
Municipal officials of member communities who would like to explore possibilities for staff support for regional associations, meetings, or workshops are invited to contact our office.

Regional and Shared Services Models
CMRPC is surveying Selectboards, Town Managers, Town Administrators, Executive Secretaries, and community leaders to gauge interest and to assess each town's preferences and/or opportunities for shared services or joint procurement of goods and services. When a community reaches out to us about regionalizing a service, we use these survey results to inform our matchmaking efforts. Your response will also guide which procurement programs we’ll pursue and how CMRPC builds its capacity to better serve our region.
