Community One Stop for Growth Information Sessions

The Commonwealth has opened the FY2027 round of the Community One Stop for Growth, the state’s consolidated application for economic development, housing, and infrastructure funding.

Through a single application, municipalities can pursue multiple state grant programs that support projects ranging from planning and zoning work to site preparation, infrastructure improvements, and downtown revitalization. The program continues to organize funding around a “development continuum,” helping match projects with programs based on readiness.

Communities may also submit an Expression of Interest to receive early feedback from state staff before preparing a full application. Several updates are reflected in this year’s round. The FY27 cycle includes 14 participating programs. The former Massachusetts Downtown Initiative (MDI) has been replaced by the new MDI Capital Grant Program, which funds improvements that strengthen downtown districts and public spaces. The portal also now includes the Seaport Economic Council Grant Program and the MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund.
