Vernon Connected Economic Impact Study

The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) invites proposals from qualified consulting firms or teams to complete the Vernon Connected Economic Impact Study. The selected consultant will evaluate the economic and community impacts of reconnecting Worcester neighborhoods historically divided by Interstate 290 and develop recommendations related to economic development, housing, anti-displacement, community engagement, implementation, and future infrastructure investment.

The RFP and attachments will be available beginning August 24, 2026, and will remain available through the proposal deadline. Documents may be obtained during regular business hours by contacting Yahaira Graxirena, Director of Access and Mobility, at ygraxirena@cmrpc.org.

Separate non-price and price proposals must be received by CMRPC no later than 10 am Eastern Time on September 21, 2026, in accordance with the submission instructions contained in the RFP.

Award is subject to CMRPC approval and the availability of funding. CMRPC reserves the right to reject any or all proposals if it is in CMRPC’s best interest to do so.
