Seated 20 miles west of the city of Worcester, the Town of Hardwick, Massachusetts is a pleasant town that has retained its agricultural roots with the Hardwick Fair, now the oldest annual fair in the United States. The Town is bordered by the Town of Ware on the South, Quabbin Reservoir on the west, Petersham on the north, Barre on the northeast, and New Braintree on the east.

Population and demographic information available from the US Census Bureau provide the basic distribution of characteristics of the town population as well as total town population projections to the year 2050 from the most recent CMRPC Socio-Economic Projections effort.
