CMRPC’s Brownfields Advisory Committee (BAC) is composed of municipal officials from brownfields-impacted communities, representatives from economic development organizations, private sector stakeholders with real estate and legal backgrounds, and staff from key federal and state agencies. The primary goals of the BAC are 1) to serve as a regional roundtable for brownfields information and 2) to provide guidance for CMRPC’s Brownfields Assessment Program, including site selection and prioritization.
BAC meetings are held on a roughly quarterly basis (i.e., four times a year) while the Brownfields Assessment Program is actively soliciting site nominations for environmental assessments and cleanup/reuse planning. When the Brownfields Assessment Program is not active, BAC meetings are held less frequently.
BAC meetings are open to the public. All meeting agendas and minutes are posted on CMRPC’s website.
