Vernon Street/I-290 Interchange Transportation Study Request for Proposals (RFP)

The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) seeks proposals, with a not-to-exceed fee of $650,000, to develop a Transportation Study for the Vernon Street Bridge / I-290 Interchange in Worcester.  The study will identify and evaluate development program options, conceptual design solutions based on community visioning sessions, and technical requirements for different scenarios to bridge the existing I-290 and reconnect neighborhoods.

The transportation study will be conducted by a consultant or a team of consultants contracted by CMRPC. Work will begin immediately, and all tasks shall be completed by September 30, 2026.
